I just purchased a Mac Mini and wondered if there is any must have software I should get for it. I am a long time Windows user but finally broke down and thought I would give the Mac a try for some video/Audio editing that I want to do.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Gratz on the purchase of your mac (albeit a little late) but I am bored and figured I would chime in...

Some software to start with is:

Camino (basically firefox and it is from mozilla - but this is tuned for the mac)
CLAM AV - Although the mac doesn't require Antivirus, I still use this just to be sure that I don't unknowingly pass on virii to friends...

NeoOffice (or MS Office if you can afford it)... This is optional but some ppl don't like iWork.. Personally I like iWork (pages and keynote for publishing and powerpoint/presentation). NeoOffice if you use it is the java/mac version of OpenOffice.

iWork - if above isn't useful - iWork is an office suite

Widgets - hop on Apple's site for lots of cool widgets and software info...

Meh, thats it for now.. Back to being bored waiting for Blizz to fix my brokeness...

Transmission is my fav. bit torrent client.

GAIM is the best multi-service chat client you can get.

Yea, Gaim is nice.. But I find myself using iChat - since I use AOL and gmail chat.. iChat supports both of these.. But if you use others like icq or yahoo, Demetrius is right.

Never use Bit torrent anymore, so I am anot up on the latest.. But for FTP I use Cyberduck which works great.
