Hey folks, I've returned from my second vacation this year and have had quite the time. I went down to Ottawa (big surprise) and had a blast, I did so many things, met so many friends, family, etc.. and took in some sights.
You see in Ottawa, each year there is an event named "The Tulip Festival" this festival first began after Canada had received thousands of Tulips from the royal family of Netherlands for having housed its royal family during the second world war to escape the Germans. Now Ottawa still receives its yearly gift but also buys hundreds of thousands more tulips for the festival as well which has grown tremendously. I have some pics available on my MSN Space (http://spaces.msn.com/ramorous/PersonalSpace.aspx?_c11_PhotoAlbum_spaHandler=TWljcm9zb2Z0LlNwYWNlcy5XZWIuU GFydHMuUGhvdG9BbGJ1bS5GdWxsTW9kZUNvbnRyb2xsZXI%24&_c11_PhotoAlbum_spaFolderID=cns!9FF78269F0CA2C01!466&_c=PhotoAlbum) , feel free to browse them.
My friend Chris and I also took in the War Museum (http://spaces.msn.com/ramorous/PersonalSpace.aspx?_c11_PhotoAlbum_spaHandler=TWljcm9zb2Z0LlNwYWNlcy5XZWIuU GFydHMuUGhvdG9BbGJ1bS5GdWxsTW9kZUNvbnRyb2xsZXI%24&_c11_PhotoAlbum_spaFolderID=cns!9FF78269F0CA2C01!495&_c=PhotoAlbum) in Ottawa. It used to be housed on Sussex street next to the National Art Gallery but has since moved into a new building that was constructed on the Lebretton Flats. It is quite the exhibition of course, however my friend and I went just to have a blast and see what kind of fools we can make of ourselves.
Last but not least, the entire reason I went down to Ottawa this week, my lovely niece Jessica (http://spaces.msn.com/ramorous/PersonalSpace.aspx?_c11_PhotoAlbum_spaHandler=TWljcm9zb2Z0LlNwYWNlcy5XZWIuU GFydHMuUGhvdG9BbGJ1bS5GdWxsTW9kZUNvbnRyb2xsZXI%24&_c11_PhotoAlbum_spaFolderID=cns!9FF78269F0CA2C01!544&_c=PhotoAlbum). It was her first communion on Saturday and it was such a great day for her. She absolutely just loves dressing up, now she's gotten her chance and we all had a blast. We had gone to Swiss Chalet for dinner afterwards where Chris and I were contemplating climbing stuff, but there were no signs telling us not to, so we didn't. ;)
Hope you enjoy the pics!
