A bunch of my RL friends recently quit WoW and got into the beta, they are giving it great reviews. I'm not sure I'll have time to play this and WoW at the same time though...><

I've been interested in AOC and have had WoW burnout for a while now, plus after jumping out of endgame progression, I kinda missed the boat of what TBC really had to offer.
If a group of you decide to move over, let me know, or post on the forums here.
Let me know what realm you're on and what not.

As for Vadoonz. There are 3 rogue classes. Assassin can be compared to WoW dagger rogue while the Barbarian is the WoW sword rogue. Ranger is a bit like a hunter I guess :o

Conquerors from what I gather are a good support dps class
and can hold their own for pvp

The stances (fury/defense) are something that I believe all soldier classes have. The Conqueror is more team buffing based where the Guardian is more the tank and solo dps type. I assume the latter has been changed though.

Hey guys, I'm going RIGHT now to pickup the game. Couldn't find it in my town yesterday. I'm really interested in playing with you all again and I figure if I start AOC fresh w/ the rest of everyone I won't fall so far behind that I can't play w/ you guys :D
I don't know a whole lot about this game other than what Aya has told me over wow tells, but It looks like a lot of fun. I'll be back from the store in about an hour...can someone tell me what server and all that jazz I need to play on...and I really know nothing about the classes/races because I haven't looked into it. What should I play? What is desired? I'm down to learn anything really.

"Hopefully" AoC npc raiding is just a part of the game and not "the" game like WoW. PvP city siege (sp) raids will make it more then dps/heal even if every npc raid is. People are smarter then npc bosses and they make decisions on the fly to adjust.

Hopefully they can pull them both off and we will have a winner. I know you dislike the game Ogmuk but it really is fun. I am willing to give them time to fix, tweak, and make new content. The core of the game to me feels good. We shall see though.

Yeah, I hope raiding is a side game in it. Unless it is like a PvEvP raid zone like what LOTRO tried to do (but didn't pull off well unfortunately).

WoW does a great job at pure PvE raiding. We don't really need another raid game. Still have to finish Sunwell and Wrath of the Lich King will add tons of raiding. What WoW doesn't have though is territorial, guild-centric PvP and that is what I hope AoC focuses on.

I think its a lot of 16 year olds to be honest. I dont think you have to be smart to play the game, but you have to have enough knowledge to know how to log on. You cant be that stupid if you want to play. I would like to see more 19 year olds, because there are more people my age, and a more mature community. Ill probably stop playing when I get bored of the game that should be an option.
