I use to like Pepsi, but now that I'm getting more mature with age, I'm beginning to like Coke better, Pepsi tastes a bit to sweet now!

Comparing Pepsi to Coke is like comparing chocolate cake to chocolate pie. They are 2 totally different tastes. Yes they are both classified as colas but cant a person like both? I think pepsi is better on its own, but coke is def better with rum.

Tryst

No, Faticus, you cannot like both.

I like to drink pepsi and coke mixed together while eating Pineapple and Ham pizza.

When are you coming back? You know you miss us.

Hi Tryst
I'm going to PM you a build
please review and let me know what you think about
the viability of an SM/Ruin WotLK build for raiding

You are always the best to theorycraft with, a role model for every lock
who's ever played under you, and the go-to guy on information.
You are still "the man".

Nice work Papa.

Now he will need to log onto the game to test the spec he creates out and make sure it is viable for raiding in a raid setting. But he might need to do this for numerous weeks to ensure that gear that he gets have the correct stats

Well.. he doesn't have to lead at all. Would rather have him relax. But from what I've been told, he likes to step it up a notch even though he says he doesn't want to  .

As you can see tryst and kara.. you guys are missed. And you're missed a lot. People still talk about things that you've done. I mean.. just the other day I remember the time when we were in SSC and the day Cold boycotted the raid, how you blew up on Manus. It was classic! Albeit, you blew out my left earpiece of my headphone. But looking back, that was hilarious! Think we were heading up to Leotheris when that happened. It was great!

People like Tryst can't sit back and be part of the crowd, it's not relaxing at all to do so. It's also impossible once you've been in a position of power and not from your own standpoint but from everyone else.

On the contrary, I got a different take from the whole Tryst thing.
I know I wasn't there for the Tryst leadership era, but I played with Tryst for quite a while, learned a great deal from him, and got to know him pretty good (and that's saying a lot, because usually the man only speaks when he's got something important to say).

He had told me a story about the guild he was in before he joined Da'Kor, about how he ended up in leadership, and how it burnt him out. That's why he left them. He was pretty content being Warlock class head. He had limited responsibilities, while having a good time with a very good warlock crew ~ himself, Wophat, Pennywisdom, Ashius, and me. He seemed right in his comfort zone, and was happy (as happy as a Tryst can be, I guess).

This is why it came as a shock to me when he took on a leadership role in Da'Kor. I even whispered him (and Karadwen) about it, that I was in shock. I told him not to let it burn him out, because I knew what had happened before, and I didn't want it to happen to him again.

Unfortunately, it did.

But if you think about what Tryst did for Da'Kor on Executus, you could say he was it's savior. You guys took serious hits with AoC coming out, then with Warhammer. People on the server saw you guys in big trouble. Tryst stood up and took the reins because he loved Da'Kor too much to see it fall.
He did it at a cost~ he got burnt out and quit the game.
IMO Tryst can not be thanked enough for what he did.
And now, what you are doing, Tenseiga.

Tryst, Tens, Aya (who has done so much for you guys), and the officers deserve an endless amount of thanks and respect for hanging in there and being the leaders (and people) that they are.

Kudos to you all

Key words colour coded for easier reading comprehension.

I am well aware of why Tryst was selected to lead the guild after Aya stepped down. No one else would have been able to keep the guild intact, period. I have known Tryst since he was an app, which, by the way, was far before the word Da`Kor was even a thought in your head let alone a tag on your character. I also know of his aversion to leadership roles, as I share it. There's a reason I've turned down officership twice. His contributions and influence to Da`Kor is exactly why he'd never be able to just be part of the crowd ever again. Most people who are hardcore need breaks regardless of if they are leaders or not anyways, burn out still exists.

It happens to a lot of us. No doubt. A few months ago, I questioned myself on why i log on. And it's probably because there was no content out there at the time to give me a reason to log on. But a lot of it had to deal with stress with trying to organize events in game. I was pretty much on the brink of quitting myself.

TBH, I have no idea what brought my motivation back up to promote progression again. So I just go with it at this time.

Tens, you are a good guy, and this is a good game. The content will be challenging again, I think. You guys are one of the best things going right now. I hope you can find your motivation in the friendships you have established over the years of gaming, and in the feeling of excitement and teamwork that a raid brings.
Keep up the fight. So many people that play this game wish they were where you are right now. You guys are looked up to by a lot of players.
