Warcraft - Anyone still playing?

Anyone still playing out there? The commercials got me curious about the game. Looks like they upgraded my account to have pandaria expansion at some point though it'd require a submission to log on to check it out.

Yeah, Jev and I are playing. I think the last two expansions were pretty underwhelming but Warlords of Draenor looks good -- it sort of goes back to their roots and what makes warcraft good imo. I had a hard time getting into pandaland and cataclysm was so random/all over the place and took place in Azeroth which I've been sick of since the end of the first expansion.

I subbed for a month Monday and played some, made level 87 after about 4 hours of playing. i'm thinking of picking up the expansion to give it a try. Elrosse is over on Area 52 server and my paly is orphaned at moment on Fenris server. Granted the cross server grouping makes that much less of a burden - Elrosse gave me a ride over to the pandahub.

Yeah, cross-server stuff is nice. Jev and I are on Zul'jin. The four of us should do some cross-server questing tomorrow night.

if i dont bowl tonight, which is looking likely (wrist isnt very happy at moment) then i should be able to pick up 2-3 levels tonight to get close to 90.

edit: did you try out monk? thoughts?

Draenor doesn't release till very late tonight -- Midnight PST, so not till 2AM here in CSTland. You are in Florida right?, so not till 3AM.

*EDIT* Ahh yeah, I misread ... you're talking about leveling from 85-90. Yeah, good to do that tonight.

I didn't try a monk. I only played pandaland for like two months after release before I quickly got sick of it. I'm just gonna play priest in WoD. I might try some other class though since you get the free level 90 boost. So it's certainly easy to try out a monk. Monks have a DPS, tank, and heal spec so they are another "can do it all" sort of class.

Made it to level 90 last night and got a handful of epics from timeless isle so pretty much ready for release.

Elrosse mentioned there are new recipes i can use to catch my tradeskills up - mine are still capped at cataclysm level.

Unfortunately an epic tragedy has befallen me in that I have to work late tonight so won't be on till like 8PM EST tonight.

I re upped a couple months ago. played thru the pandaria expansion. I thought it was pretty well done. I had not played in almost 3 years its a totally new game now.

If I wanted to try this out, what is a good addon pack to get? Default UI sucks.

Hey Bralan... I use curse-gaming to manage add-ons and I use:

Bartender 4: skin/modify all your action bars / UI
[b]Grid 2: replacement raid/group frames
[b]Shadowed Unit Frames: replacement frames for your card, target card, target-of-target cards, etc.
Skada Damage Meters: self explanatory
Weak Auras 2: helps manage cooldowns and buffs/debuffs
VEM: the new DBM, helps explain raid / group mechanics ... is cool because it uses voice to warn you
Masque: this plugs into things like Bartender, Shadowed Unit Frames, etc. to allow you to change the graphics that go around buttons/frames/etc.

Jev uses elvui which sort of does everything all at once and replaces Bartender 4, Shadowed Unit Frames, and Masque ... but I didn't care for it.

Using the curse-gaming client makes it much easier. It keeps your mods up to date and makes it easy to one-click install mods.
