I am looking into building a full computer setup with all the bells and whistles(monitors, keyboard, etc) I have been looking on websites and pricing the different components but I figured I would throw this out there to see if anyone could put something together for me. I'm interested in having a dual monitor setup and my spending limit I am going to set at around 2k. I know some people are more current with what's good/ not good for the price so any advice is appreciated. I know you can build systems fairly cheap but I have always used hand me downed/minor upgraded machines that I'm getting tired of, so I wanted to treat myself to something nice with my tax return.

This is a really handy website: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
It gives you lists of components for each slot, sorted however you like (price, performance, rating, etc.) and even tells you where you can order it from for the cheapest price.

Thanks, I took a quick look while at work and aside from the processor I am not really sure how to grade things. I guess I was looking for more ease in that if I put in my amount it would basically build me the best possible machine( I can dream can't I?). I will play around with it though and see what I can come up with.

You should stop by IRC, Vittra loves giving PC advice.

Keep an eye on that OCZ SSD, they're getting some pretty "all over the map" reviews on newegg. I think Zhav had one and it shit the bed after a week or two. Their reliability seems to be proportional to their price tag.
