After much research, we have chosen the faction/server we will be playing on when the game is released.

Server: Azphel (EST)
Faction: Elyos

For more information on the server:

Those who pre-order will get to two day headstart period and two days before the headstart, they will have the opportunity to make two characters to claim the names.

09-18-2009: Aion's Preselection Program
09-20-2009: Aion's Head Start Program
09-22-2009: Aion's Release

During character creation, if you are not a Templar or Gladiator, make you character as small as possible. Templars and Gladiators should be as big as possible.

you may not want to be that dinky. Keep in mind, as small as possible here is tinier than gnomes! You're like a mosquito in a dress.

Aion's Preselection Program starts today:

Starting 12:00 p.m. PDT (more) on September 18, 2009, eligible players will be able to start their game clients and log in to create a total of two characters ahead of everyone else. You can name and create these two characters through the standard character creator and be ready to play with these characters right when the game Head Start Program begins (but not beforehand). Preselection will end 9:00 a.m. PDT on September 20, 2009.

After analyzing our open beta test results Aion will not feature GameGuard at launch. We will however continue to pursue ways to effectively utilize GameGuard within Aion in the future. Right now we're focused on providing players with the best possible Aion experience.
